Our Mission
“To enable the young people of Redding and Easton, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, and to be a positive force for good in our communities.”
Focus:
Boys & Girls Club of Redding-Easton is an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America www.bgca.org – we focus our programs in five core areas:
- Character & Leadership
- Sports, Fitness & Recreation
- Education & Career Development
- Healthy Life Skills
- The Arts

Governance and Staffing:
The Boys & Girls Club of Redding-Easton is governed by a Board of Directors made up of members of the Redding-Easton community. Full-time staff currently includes our Executive Director, Meredith Schuchard, Programs Director, Autumn Tooker and Administration Manager, Peri Bartro, and seasonal part-time staff. In addition, scores of parents each year provide invaluable volunteer assistance and supervision in the form of coaching, organizing special events, and serving on committees.

Funding:
As a private, non-profit, tax-exempt, 501 (c)(3) organization, the Club is funded by a combination of program fees and donations from individuals and companies. In addition, the Club receives program grants through the Connecticut Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs on ashared basis when available and applicable to its program needs.
